Energy Efficiency – Large Residential Buildings
New energy efficiency requirements are changing the way large residential buildings are constructed in British Columbia.
To help the building industry learn how to comply with these changes, the Homeowner Protection Office and BC Hydro Power Smart have produced a series of five Building Smart presentations that examine the new energy efficiency requirements of the BC Building Code for Part 3 Buildings.
Presented by industry professionals, these presentations will help you better understand how to apply the 2011 National Energy Code for
Buildings (NECB) and ASHRAE 90.1 2010 standards to different sections of the Building Code.
BC Building Code - Thermal Envelope Performance - May 16, 2014This presentation explores the energy efficiency requirements for thermal envelope performance in the new BC Building Code (BCBC) and Vancouver Building By-law (VBBL). It also reviews the envelope requirements in ASHRAE 90.1 2010 and in the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) 2011. |
