Treatment Notice
A treatment notice must be provided in writing, before treatment to all occupants or tenants of a home if the property includes rental housing. The notice can be left under the door or in a mailbox.
The treatment notice must contain:
- A description of the treatment area
- Name of the targeted pest
- The registration number (Pest Control Products Act #) of the pesticide to be used
- The pesticide’s active ingredient
- Proposed date and start time of pesticide use
- Name of RAC holder
- Phone number at which certificate holder can be reached
- Precautions that should be taken to minimize exposure to pesticides specifying the period following use which people should not enter treatment area.
