Introducing the Early Learning Framework

The Early Learning Framework was first introduced in 2008. That framework:

• Broadened discussions about early learning in B.C.
• Described children as capable and full of potential
• Introduced pedagogical narration as a process for reflecting on the knowledge and understandings of childhood

How is this Early Learning Framework different? It:

• Explores some ways that B.C. has changed since 2008
• Looks at social, political, economic, and cultural changes that have affected children, families, and communities in B.C.
• Discusses new ideas that can enhance how you think about practice
