Egypt and Kush

There were many great pharaohs, kings, and queens of Egypt and Kush. Kush is the ancient Egyptian name for Nubia. A Kushite king conquered Egypt during the 25th dynasty and became pharaoh of both. Kush was a powerful kingdom because of its wealth of gold and expansive trade routes.
